When you think of Event Cinemas, you probably think choc tops, previews, and the smell of popcorn in the air. But when we stepped into the newly revamped Chermside location, we were met with something else entirely: velvet textures, golden hues, and a boutique bar vibe that felt more like a high-end hotel than your typical movie night out.
This wasn’t just a renovation. It was a statement. And our job? To capture it in a way that didn’t just show the space — but sold the feeling of it.
Event Cinemas had just completed a massive overhaul of their Chermside venue — transforming it into a luxe, cinematic experience designed to wow. The design was dramatic, layered, and full of character.
They needed marketing imagery that matched the mood — something that would speak to their elevated audience and leave a lasting impression.
And the best part? They let us play. No rigid shot list. Just a blank creative slate and an invitation to tell the story.
